APE ( ATENCION PREFERENCIAL AL ESTUDIANTE).

Programa de la Vicerrectoria Académica destinado a optimizar la atención de las Unidades dependientes de ella, con el objeto que los estudiantes alcancen satisfacción asegurada en todos los servicios que demanden. Para ello la Dirección de Asuntos Estudiantiles, Dirección de Admisión y Registro Académico, Dirección de Pregrado y Dirección de Bibliotecas trabajan en forma conjunta una amplia gama de actividades que permiten agilizar y normalizar procedimientos, desarrollar programas de orientación, comprometer a académicos y funcionarios en una actitud de apoyo al estudiante, para el mejor aprovechamiento de las prestaciones y servicios que la institución les ofrece.

Todos  los  alumnos  de  Pregrado  pueden  sugerir    para  su adquisición  obras  de cultura general,  de literatura nacional o extranjera, crónica histórica, biografías, ficción, hobbies, política, etc.

Todos los memoristas de Pregrado pueden sugerir la adquisición de información relevante para su trabajo de titulación.

La Red de Bibliotecas de la Universidad del Bío-Bío, incorpora en su edificio central tecnologia WIFI disponible para todos sus usuarios. La señal abarca la zona de hemeroteca, circulación y sala de estudio. Gracias a la adquisición de antenas amplificadoras se ha obtenido un importante mejora en la calidad de la señal.

Nueva antena emisora Wi-Fi en Biblioteca Central.

A contar del día 4 de Septiembre se ha ampliado la cobertura de la zona WI-FI de Biblioteca Central Campus Concepción con la instalación de una nueva antena Linksys que por su diseño entrega una mayor cobertura de nuestra señal . Esta nueva antena se suma al trabajo que realiza desde el año 2006 nuestra primera antena Wi-Fi, con lo cual aseguramos un servicio de calidad para toda la comunidad universitaria.

La Universidad del Bío-Bío invita a los vecinos de la ciudad y de la Región, a consultar material bibliográfico disponible en nuestras bibliotecas. Solo es necesario la presentación de su Carné de Identidad. Este servicio permite la consulta por una vez del material en nuestras salas y no considera el préstamo a domicilio.

El préstamo a domicilio y/o acceso a bases de datos con información arbitrada, se facilita a personas acreditadas a través de convenios.

Acceso Egresados.

La Red de Bibliotecas de la Universidad del Bío-Bío, ofrece un servicio similar al que recibe un alumno regular [ ver reglamento ].

Para acreditarse solo basta cancelar un aporte definido de $60.000 (sesenta mil pesos) para acreditación anual o $40.000 (cuarenta mil pesos) por un semestre.-
